I went to the Deftones show in Columbus on March 29th, they were playing with FleshWater and The Mars Volta and it was super sick. Well after the show I went behind the Nationwide Arena and found where the band’s busses were.
I waited out there for 2 hours, and then Deftones’ tour bus started to leave, we saw Chino through the window and he waved at us as he was passing. I took my tour shirt and ran down the sidewalk in front of the bus (off to the side) and I waved my shirt in front of the bus. Well, Chino saw me and he stopped the bus and came out to say hi to us!
After that, the Fleshwater bus drove out and parked on the sidewalk, and Marisa came out and signed my shirt! She talked to us about the tour and it was just sick as hell.
Awesome experience. Chino was chill and Marisa was super sweet.
